Why I’m Running

Good governance matters. And great schools make for a strong community–but they don’t happen by accident. They’re built by leaders who understand how education works — and they benefit every resident of this district, not just families with kids currently enrolled. Strong schools protect home values, keep our community safe, and are the foundation of everything that makes Placer County a place people want to live.

As a parent of three — including two currently attending Roseville Joint Union High School District schools, with a third soon to follow — I share the same hopes for our schools that every family in this district has: strong teachers, safe campuses, and an education that sets our kids up for whatever comes next.

I’ve spent my career working toward exactly that. As a university chief academic officer, I strengthened academic programs and helped students succeed in college, careers, and life. Before that, I served as a public-school teacher and in state education leadership, working alongside educators and local leaders to help students reach their full potential. And as legislative staff for the California School Boards Association, I worked directly with districts across the state to navigate state law, strengthen governance, and responsibly manage taxpayer resources. That work taught me what good governance actually looks like from the board level — asking the right questions, reading a budget line by line, and holding a district accountable on behalf of the people who pay for it.

As your trustee, I’ll protect what makes our district strong: careful oversight of every bond and parcel-tax dollar, healthy reserves so the district isn’t caught flat-footed, real transparency in how budgets are built and reported, outstanding teachers, safe schools, and an unwavering focus on students and families.

Throughout my career, I’ve brought people together to solve problems, build consensus, and put students first. I would be honored to earn your support for Trustee Area 4, and serve our community as your school board member.

I respectfully ask for your vote.
